LKA - December 2015

Wow, well what a fantastic day we had at Ladies Kennel Association.
This is a lovely show and a bit of a mini-Crufts, some nice trade stands and a Christmas atmosphere. The entry was huge - over 200 - so we really had no preconceptions about what would happen, it was just a fun day with the girls.
Rumor was up first, handled by Yvonne, in Junior then Yearling as a seen dog. There were 14 and 15 entries respectively, so big classes and a strong line up, so when Rumor was pulled third in Junior I was delighted. She also made the cut in the Yearling class - I was very proud and over the moon that Team Dreamwork was up to 4 for Crufts 2016.
I'd entered Drama in graduate, a non-qualifying class, and I was delighted she stood nicely and showed well. but nothing for us this time, although she was still a little raw for non-age classes, it just meant the girls were not competing amond themselves.
Muse was last, one of 19 in Post graduate and 23 Limit! It was her first champ show since the litter and although I was much more confident after our successes at EABCC, I didn't expect anything.
So I was delighted to make the cut in PG, and overjoyed when that cut turned into 3rd place, qualifying Muse for Crufts too! 5 Dreamworks at Crusfts 2016. She even made the cut in a large, strong Limit class too - brillliant day all round!

Congratulations to Chi, DW Ms Congeniality, for getting her third grade 3 jumping win, taking her to grade 4. Then the next day, she came 2nd in combined 1-4 agility. So I guess she won't struggle then!
Also well done to Denver, father of DW6, for his second agility win in grade 5. Only one more to go for G6.

Rumor's first time out and the judge found it hard to split her and Drama, gaining the girls two sets of 3rd and 4th, with 5 dogs in the Puppy Bitch class.
Cazz brought the lovely Stuart along for the day, and he got two fourth places in his Junior and Yearling classes.

Last minute entry as a fun thing to do on my birthday, but what a fabulous day!
Arrow got third in his Minor class, qualifying for Crufts, and Drama showed her socks off to win Minor Puppy Bitch against a pup from Guernsey that had done very well out there.
Very proud of the babies for their first time out (although Arrow had been at an open show the day before).

Some great results from two club open shows before we retire to the maternity wing to wait out DW6.
Midlands BC - fab day with lots happening all at once! Nothing for Lacey in the big bitch classes unfortunately, but the boys flew the flag.
Dante had a 4th in Post Graduate, and 2nd in AOC. But the day belonged to Matisse, who celebrated retiring from agility by galloping from the Special Working class (1st place) to the Beginners obedience (2nd place despite dropping his dumbell) and back to Veterans (3rd behind two show champions).
The obedience judge thought Matisse was around 4 and showed potential!
Then and BCCGB, just Matisse in the cards and ribbons this time with 4th in special working. Was very proud to take him round the Vintage Veteran class at Veteran of the Year too, where he was the second oldest entrant.

Andy and Solo from DW2 made their debut in the agility ring yesterday at Spring at Shuttleworth. Lovely sunny day for them!
We are very proud to say that in a large Grade 3 jumping class (around 265 entry), not only did Solo go clear, but he was placed 20th! An excellent start to what we are sure will be a glittering agility partnership. Huge congratulations Andy and Solo!
